History of the brand
About 2,000 years ago, the Romans used large ceramic containers, known as dolium, to transport goods in the holds of ships. Inevitably, many of these ships would shipwreck, and their contents were lost. One such ship was the La Giraglia, which sank near the island of Corsica. It was a specially built ship for transporting wine, with at least eight dolium and possibly four smaller dolium embedded in the hold.
The name of the wine comes from the island of Corsica, which still produces incredible drinks today. The wine brand is positioned in the price range of 20-30 BGN.
The brand's slogan is le vin de l'antiquité, which translates to "The Wine of Antiquity".
